Can I get cover if I have pre existing medical conditions?
Yes you can! It is not impossible to get cover put in place even with pre existing medical issues, there are providers out there who can offer cover to protect you and your loved ones.
Insurance specialist advisers have access to the whole of market. This allows them to research all of the providers on the market to find you the best possible outcome for your circumstances. Having that specialist adviser to guide you through the process by doing it on your behalf ensures you are getting the protection needed to cover all bases and work within your means.
Last week we met with the lovely Racheal Thornton to discuss life insurance and critical illness cover for both me and Danny and I’m so glad we did We have been meaning to do this for years… 8 years in fact since we’ve had Orla.. irresponsible I know, but it’s not something that comes up day to day. I met Racheal by chance and I’m so glad we did as we probably still wouldn’t have got round it it if it hadn’t have been for her. Rachael is fantastic at what she does, she’s so knowledgeable in her field and explains everything so easily so your not baffled with loads of information. Danny already had income protection in place but she she got him a much better deal and saved him some money so winner winner. Honestly I highly recommend Racheal if you’ve not got cover or even if you have there is no harm in having a review as she could also save you some money. It’s quick, it’s easy and she comes to your home free of charge and we even got a free Will, which we’re super happy with. Thanks again Racheal for making us responsible adults finally.
Is having Insurance expensive?
No this is a myth, the price of insurance depends completely on your circumstances and can vary for each individual. It doesn’t always need to be expensive to make sure you have a base of protection put in place.
Using a specialist to help you get cover can be more optimal for you, as they would work to your budget to get you the best available cover for what you can afford.
Becky was recommended to me and my goodness does she do a fantastic job. Becky is really professional, but was able to talk to her about general life too, which I’d say is a good balance. Becky was really lovely, spoke about what we needed and supported us with making the right choice for our family. Becky is great at communicating and made me feel at ease throughout the whole process. Becky came to my house and on an evening due to my working hours and worked around us. Becky wasn’t pushy in regards to getting us to sign up to anything. Wish I went and spoke to Becky sooner! Thank you so much for your support.
Unsure of what insurances I need?
This is a common question that can be overwhelming to tackle alone and time consuming to research all the options available to you. This is where by having a specialist adviser to do this on your behalf and guide you with what is available helps ease the pressure on yourself.
We at The Right Advice offer an advised service, so we will listen to your circumstances and advise you of the kind of cover that would be beneficial for your needs.
Rebecca was recommended to us via a friend on facebook. We discussed my needs and she very promptly booked in an appointment. Becky was really accomodating and she travelled to meet me at my home as I have a toddler and it was much easier then trying to meet somewhere with her running around. Becky went through everything and explained things to me clearly and simply so I could understand instead of using confusing jargon. She answered any questions that I had and then worked her magic and found me some life insurance, after previously declined 3 times when searching myself.
Becky was very knowledgeable, professional but friendly and made what could have been a stressful process seem very smooth. I now have peace of mind that if anything was to happen to me, my little girl is protected and that’s worth more than its weight in gold. Thank you Rebecca

What insurances products are there?
Product knowledge on all the types of insurances you can get can be overwhelming to take the time out of your busy lives to understand. It is important to make sure your insurance covers what you need it to, so going to a specialist who has that understanding of the products that can review your current policy and make sure it is offering the protection level you want.
We take the time to fully explain every single product available and why it may be suitable for you.
Examples of some of the products and what they are-
Life Insurance
Life insurance, which can also be known as life cover or life assurance, is a type of policy that protects your loved ones with financial support if you pass away. It can help minimise the financial impact that your passing could have on your family and offer peace of mind to those you care about most.
Critical Illness Cover
Critical illness cover supports you financially if you’re diagnosed with one of the conditions included in the policy. The tax-free, one-off payment helps pay for your treatment, mortgage, rent or changes to your home, such as wheelchair access, should you need it.
Income Protection
Income protection insurance: provides regular payments that replace part of your income if you’re unable to work due to illness or an accident. pays out until you can start working again – or until you retire, pass away or reach the end of the policy term – whichever is sooner.
Private Medical Insurance
Private medical Insurance pays some or all your medical bills if you’re treated privately. It gives you a choice in the level of care you get, and how and when it’s provided.
Home Insurance
Homeowners insurance is a form of property insurance that covers losses and damages to your residence, along with furnishings and other assets in the home. Homeowners insurance also provides liability coverage against accidents in the home or on the property.
Hayley was Amazing with reviewing my life insurance and critical cover due to changes in personal circumstances. I feel reassured knowing that if anything were to happen to me, my children would be taken care of financially.
Hayley also provided new cover for my partner which was all done in our own home at a time convenient for ourselves. Nothing was too much trouble. We would highly recconmend Hayley x
Do you charge anything to set insurance up?
NO! our specialists do not charge you to put insurance in place. This is a big misconception that puts people off from getting protection put in place.
We have had Racheal Thornton over to the house today as since buying our house we needed to review our cover.
Wasn’t even sure what we already had but Rachael showed us how much better a new critical illness policy would be in details and make sure we have exactly the right cover in case the worst ever happens- depressing i know really is essential to make sure we’d be okay if it did.
Rachael doesn’t charge any fees for the visit and gave us a will for free.
Contact her for a free appointment, i feel so much better knowing it is all sorted now and the kids are covered too.
Do I need to pay for my insurance upfront?
No this payment for your insurance would be a direct debit set up for each month to a date that suits you, this tends to be payday for most people. The insurance specialist would explain to you beforehand how these payments would come out and how much the costs of these would be each month.
We couldn’t have wished for a better or smoother experience! Ben has been so helpful from start to finish and was always quick and happy to answer any burning questions. As we are first time buyers, Ben explained the process to us from start to finish and always reassured us when we had any concerns. Our experience honestly couldn’t have been any easier; Ben also arranged our solicitors and insurances out for us, so it really was just so simple for us! The WhatsApp group chat meant we were kept up to date with every part of the process and could conveniently explore different deals and options as a group. We couldn’t recommend enough. Thank you so much for everything!!
What if I miss a payment accidentally will I loose my cover?
This is not always the case, before you panic just make a call to the provider and explain the missed payment to them. Typically they will allow 2 missed payments sometimes more before the policy is stopped.
Alex has gone above and beyond to ensure all my questions are answered throughout the process. As this was my first time buying and I was doing the process alone, it was such a reassurance to have a wealth of expertise and knowledge on side throughout to answer any of my questions. Super responsive and couldn’t have asked for a smoother process. Thank you Alex!
